Pro-Am . . .
Pro-Am
is an opportunity for a student to show the world their accomplishments and skills in dance. Students will have several opportunities to dance at major events across North America.
Dancing with their instructor, the student will be graded on a set standard by a panel of judges. All levels and ages are welcome to dance. With five entry levels to choose from,
every student has an opportunity for high recognition and achievement. Newcomer, Novice, Intermediate, Advanced and Showcase represent the levels in which the instructor
can place a student, based upon their abilities. All the categories are based on social dancing with good lead-follow technique. Showcase on the other hand, is for
those who are well versed in dance and really enjoy performing at it's highest level.
The student’s abilities are awarded with medals of Gold Graduate, Gold With Honors, Gold, Silver, Bronze, or Honorable Mention. Triple Two Step,
Polka, Night Club, Cha Cha, Waltz, Two Step, East Coast and West Coast Swing are the eight dances the student can compete in. Dancing a Two Step, Waltz, a Swing
and two Non-Swing dances would give the student an opportunity for an overall award where they are not only given a medal for each dance but now competing against
other amateurs at their age and level for the 1st though 5th overall placements.
So now its time to put to the test what you have learned.
